We are currently reflecting on where the people you serve are at in their journey relative to chiropractic. We are visiting the various types and suggesting a few thoughts on how to develop and graduate the type to the next level.
Last week we spoke about the Members and this week we look at…
Advocate
This person sees the world through chiropractic lens and becomes increasingly more educated on natural health and lifestyle. This person is willing and able to speak out and takes the initiative to refer others when the situation is appropriate.
With these people who are few in numbers but mighty in impact in your practice look for every opportunity to further their education. Make sure that personally their thinking is challenged. This takes the form of regularly questioning them on their take on given topics that relate to chiropractic. Play the devils advocate and pose paradoxes for them to figure out.
Have regular health classes on a variety of subjects and seek their input as to the topics and style of the classes. Recognize these people for their commitment and have a program of care that provides them with some perks (VIP status).
A few of these Advocates will morph over time into the final group, which will discuss next week.
