As a chiropractor I bet you are feeling two urges with every person you adjust.
I bet that you will have a deep desire to really physically help the person and also have a yearning for the person to understand chiropractic, life and health just as you do.
I also bet that you want to help people so much that you want to try to do everything that you can see that they need right now, while they are on your table.
Yes, today, right now, on this visit, while you have them there, there’s a desire to do EVERYTHING!!
In both cases, either their adjustments or their education the word that is wise is TOMORROW.
Firstly with their adjustments: The human body is a system of inter-related parts. All parts work together in a chain of communication from the brain, spine, nerve system, to the tissues, organs and cells. As soon as an input is put into the body all parts and I mean ALL parts change. And change takes time.
Secondly, with their education: The process of education is just that – it’s a process. It is not an event. You took many ‘tomorrows’ to get to where you are at with your knowledge base so give your practice members a chance to assimilate it.
Now, definitely go back and check your work and ensure that your outcomes from today have been obtained but please let it settle.
Remember, there is always TOMORROW.
