Light the Fire of Greatness

High Performance

With the Olympics behind us for another 4 years we are able to reflect on some of the moments of triumph (and defeat) that make the act of high performance such an iconic phenomena.

Whilst the games probably don’t add a lot to yours or my life it does give us a welcome focus towards the potential of humans and their attainment of excellence – something sorely lacking in the often mediocre world of public discussion.

Typically gyms and sporting clubs report an increase in people signing up and committing to do something better with their physicality. Children especially are seriously focusing on driving their sporting intentions to higher levels based on the inspiration gained from the images on the TV screen. I was adjusting a 15 year old in the practice the other day and she declared unequivocally that she WILL be swimming and WINNING at the Japan games in 2020. This is a bold statement and a significant vision. It is one thing to GET to the Olympics and another thing to WIN at the Olympics.

Only time will tell for her but one thing is for sure is that she is stepping up to make it happen.

High performance draws out high performance in others. The affect that high performance has on others is profound. People are drawn to emulate their role models. It is no more evident anywhere than in your practice.

A guide of how complete your chiropractic package is and how iconic you are as a chiropractor could be the number of people you have inspired to become chiropractors. When your exquisite delivery of your art and comprehensive understanding of your philosophy WOWS parents they will want their children to become chiropractors. When you passionately and joyfully apply your chiropractic perspective at a level that kids relate to they also will want to be like you.

As we celebrate the 121st birthday of our profession this month how about making a goal to light the fire of desire within at least one person to the extent that they decide that chiropractic is their career path?

As with the Olympics, deciding to GET to a chiropractic institution is one thing. The other thing is WHICH institution one chooses to get one’s education in order to WIN as a chiropractor.

Consider this question well and be there to support your fledglings as they grow their chiropractic wings.

Oh, What’s in it for me you may ask? I know that if you take this goal aboard and play it full on your practice will expand over the next month.

You cant out give the universe.
