You Are The Agent of Change

Change

From our exciting journey through 2016 it would seem undeniable that we are engulfed in a rapidly changing world. From the global events that shift nations and their leaders to the local changes that shift our profession the world is changing and like it or not we are a part of it.

As we begin the wind-down period of the year and get ready to go into the festive season it may be useful to reflect on where you are, where you have been and where you wish to be in the future.

Am I where I want to be? Is my practice where I want it to be?

Is my profession where I would like it to be?

Is the world where I would like it to be?, you may ask.

Many a chiropractor gets into chiropractic with a vision to change the world. Unfortunately, all too often they wind up with the world changing them. They have succumbed to the cultural turmoil and the whims of the marketplace. They lose or significantly minimise their original vision just being satisfied to get by.

It brings to mind the conversation in the classic ‘Through the Looking Glass’. “Would you tell me please which way I ought to go from here?”, asks Alice. “That depends a good deal on where you want to go” replies the cat. “I don’t much care where”, says Alice. “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go”, came the reply. “So long as I get somewhere”, Alice adds as an explanation. “Oh, you’re sure to do that”, grinned the cat.

The changes you encounter in life will often challenge your vision and direction. If you are not clear on who you are and where you are going you can easily buy into the global delusions and end up where external circumstances dictate.

The message that chiropractic brings to the world is very different from the myths that we are engulfed in propagated by our medico-politco-corporate monopolies. As I described in a recent blog – chiropractic is a very dangerous idea that runs counter to the master ‘plan’ for society.

The chiropractic vision includes more than catering to the health care needs of a tribe of isolated beings living out their desperate lives on a lonely planet in an indifferent universe. We are part of a larger whole – a Universal Intelligence.

As a person you have far more power than you may realise.

Einstein stated it this way “A human being is part of a whole, called by us the ‘Universe’, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest–a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.  This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Quantum calculations show that our universe, including us live in what amounts to a sea of motion – a quantum sea of light. All living things, at their most fundamental level, are packets of quantum energy constantly exchanging information with the pulsating energy field. We are not chemical reactions but energetic charges. Human beings and all living things are a coalescence of energy in a field of energy connected to every other thing in the universe.

This sounds like the chiropractic story to me!

We are not in competition with anyone for people to fill our practices or influence the world. Chiropractic’s mission is to free our own minds and hearts from this “prison”, adjust people and communicate the ‘Big Idea’. By so doing we empower them with the truths that chiropractic has kept hidden for the last 121 years and that are now being evidenced in science.

Your cognition of these principles has a global effect of attraction, which translates to a busy practice and fulfilled people.

So, where will you be at this time next year? Will you be able to say, I am where I want to be, my practice is where I want it to be, my profession is where I would like it to be and my world is where I would like it to be?

You never know. You may just realise that you really are a significant agent of change in this world.
